​The Human Resources & Management Association (HRMA) is an on-campus club at Cal Poly SLO that seeks to enhance students' interest in the field of Human Resources. By promoting a community that strives for academic, extracurricular, and professional excellence, HRMA provides various opportunities for hands-on involvement: partnerships, information sessions, events, & more.

Ethan Raygoza
President
 

Ethan is a fourth year Business Administration major, concentrating in Human Resources and Management. He joined HRMA to learn just how vast the Human Resources field is and the variety of opportunities that are in the industry. HRMA has also helped him network and get to know lots of new people.

Camryn Kardos
VP Club Administrator

Camryn is a fourth year Business Administration major concentration in HRM! This club has allowed her to make some amazing friends while also diving deeper into learning about her profession. She loves going to Avila beach and hiking in MDO, but her favorite place to be is Nautical Bean. She's excited to spend her lat year at Cal Poly supporting HRMA!

Chelsea Fong
Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Chelsea is a fourth year sociology major, concentrating in Organizations, and minoring in Psychology and Communication Studies. She joined HRMA because of her interest in HR as a potential career and the networking opportunities the club brings. She is looking forward to maintain an inclusive environment and hopes to spread the understanding of why DEI is so important.

Elleanna Barnes

Director of Learning & Development

Elleanna is a fourth year Business Administration major, concentrating in Human Resources, and minoring in psychology, with hopes to pursue a career in Employee Relations. She joined HRMA because she wanted to get involved within her major and connect with more HR students. She is looking forward to growing the club and helping members learn more about the opportunities that HR and Cal Poly have to offer.

Sydney Hillberg
Director of Freshman Operations

Sydney is a second year Business Administration major concentrating in HR and Management! She joined HRMA to learn more about the management aspects of business, along with learning the fundamentals of HR. She is looking forward to recruiting and supporting incoming freshmen and transfer students to aid their success at Cal Poly as well as learn about HR and Management along the way.

Rebecca Litteral
VP of Events
 

Rebecca is a transfer student from Cuesta College majoring in Business Administration and concentrating in Human Resources and Management. She joined HRMA because she loved the networking meetings and is interesting in learning all she can about the HR field. She also is passionate about supporting club members and growing the club! She also loves line dancing and exploring SLO.

Taylor Tong
VP of Finance & Membership

Taylor is a third year Business Administration major, currently exploring concentrations in Human Resources and Management and Information Systems. She joined HRMA to dive deeper into the world of HR and meet like-minded people in the community. She's looking forward to in-person fundraising events next quarter and connecting with club members!

Rithika Prakash
VP of Firm Relations

Rithika is a second year Business Administration major, considering concentrating in Human Resources and is minoring in Psychology. She joined HRMA to build a community with likeminded people and explore the possible paths in the HR field. She is looking forward to in-person meetings and connecting with different professionals across the HR filed.

Alexandra Hyde 
Director of Marketing

Alexandra is a third year Business Administration major concentrating in Human Resources and minoring in Sustainable Environments. She joined HRMA to explore more into the HR concentration and meet new people. She is looking forward to growing our community and excited to keep our members informed on all our social media platforms!

Calvin Stevens

Club Advisor

Calvin Stevens is a full-time lecturer at Orfalea College of Business. Prior to joining Cal Poly in 2014, he was an internal Organizational Development (OD) Practitioner and HR professional with Intel Corporation at Folsom, CA. He also taught as evening faculty at William Jessup University in Rocklin, CA, teaching management and communication courses. At Intel, Stevens’ work was devoted to organizational design, manager/leader development, HR practice, training/facilitation, org health, change management, team development and other OD

interventions. Stevens is an active member of the SLO Chamber and holds appointed positions on city committees and on a non-profit board of directors.

After a variety of experiences both in the classroom and professional settings, HRMA sought to rebrand the association as a whole in 2017. Through its revitalized programs, events, and community, HRMA strives to create leaders that bring their all to the industry. We believe there has never been a more exciting time to enter the field, and are excited for all that we can accomplish together!
